Pick a random NBA team
This random NBA team generator is a wheel with all 30 NBA teams on it. Spin it when you want chance to choose: the team you play as in NBA 2K, a team to support for the night, the forfeit in a bracket challenge or a topic for a trivia round.
Every team is the same size, so each one has a 1 in 30 chance on every spin. Tap East or West to spin 15 teams from one conference, or "6 Divisions" to pick a division first.
To work through the whole league without repeats, turn on "Retire winners". Each team leaves the wheel as it is picked, a bit like a lottery order decided by chance.
How to use it
Choose the league
Leave all 30 teams on, or tap East, West or 6 Divisions to narrow the wheel.
Hold, then release
Hold the brass button in the middle and let go to launch the wheel.

Questions
How many teams are on the wheel?
All 30 NBA teams: 15 in the Eastern Conference and 15 in the Western Conference, in 6 divisions of 5.
Can I spin only one conference?
Yes. Tap East or West for the 15 teams in that conference.
Does every team have the same chance?
Yes. The segments are equal in size, so each team has a 1 in 30 chance on every spin.
Can I pick every team once, with no repeats?
Turn on "Retire winners" in the entries panel. After each result the winning team is removed, so every team comes up once.
Is the team list up to date?
It follows each league's line-up as of 2026. If a team moves or changes its name, type the new name over the old entry.
Are team logos used?
No. The wheel uses team names only.
