Pick a giveaway winner, in public

A giveaway only works if people believe the winner was chosen fairly. A spinning wheel makes the draw something everyone can watch: each entrant gets a segment of the same size, so each has the same chance, and the result comes from the physics of the spin.

To run a draw, paste your entrants into the entries, one name or username per line, then spin. Record your screen while you do it so your followers or group can see the whole draw. For a long list, give each entrant a ticket number and use the number wheel.

A single wheel holds up to 40 entrants. If you have more, run it in rounds: split the entrants into groups, pick a winner from each group, then spin a final wheel of the group winners. Turn on "Retire winners" to draw several prizes without the same person winning twice.

How to use it

  1. Add your entrants

Paste your list into the entries, one name or username per line, or use ticket numbers.

  2. Spin on camera

Start a screen recording, then hold the brass button and let go.

  3. Announce the winner

The winner fills the screen. Remove them and spin again for the next prize.

Questions

Is the draw fair?

Yes. Every segment is the same size and the result comes from the physics of the spin. There is no way to weight a segment.

How many entrants can I add?

Up to 40 on one wheel. For more, give each entrant a number, or draw in rounds.

Can I draw more than one winner?

Turn on "Retire winners". Each winner is removed after they are picked, so nobody wins twice.

Can I import entrants from social media?

No. Copy the names or usernames from your list and paste them into the entries.

Do I need to follow any rules?

Giveaways and raffles can be regulated, and each social platform has its own contest rules. Check the rules that apply to you. This page is not legal advice.
