SpinwheeleFair Play

Fair play, on every spin

Every segment is the same size and has the same chance. The result comes from the physics of the spin, not from a script, and there is no setting that can weight a segment.

Every segment is equal

A wheel with 8 entries gives each one a 1 in 8 chance. All segments are the same size, whatever is written on them. There is no way to make one segment bigger.

The result comes from physics

The wheel is a simulated physical object with weight, friction and pegs that flick the pointer. How hard you launch it and how it loses speed decide where it stops. The winner is not chosen in advance and then animated.

The spin uses the Rapier physics engine, the same kind of engine games use to simulate real objects.

How we check it

We run the wheel through thousands of simulated spins across different wheel sizes and compare how often each segment wins with how often it should win by chance. A fair wheel gives results that match.

What we will not build

There is no rigged, weighted or fixed-result wheel on Spinwheele. A wheel you can secretly fix is not fair, and trust is the whole point of a spin. If a result matters to someone, they can see that nothing was set up.

What you control

You decide the entries and how many there are. You can remove an entry after it is picked, so nobody comes up twice. You can shuffle the order. None of these change anyone's chances.
