Pick a number between 1 and 2

Need a pick between two things? This wheel has two numbers, 1 and 2, each filling exactly half the wheel. That makes every spin a 50 / 50 chance, like a coin flip you can watch.

To settle a choice, give each option a number before you spin. 1 is pizza and 2 is tacos, say, or 1 is your idea and 2 is theirs. The wheel decides, and nobody can say it was set up.

A spin never depends on the one before it. Getting 1 three times in a row does not make 2 more likely next time.

How to use it

  1. Check the numbers

The wheel opens with 1 and 2. Tap a quick set to change the range.

  2. Hold, then release

Hold the brass button and let go to launch the wheel.

  3. Take the number

The result fills the screen. Spin again whenever you like.

Questions

What are the odds of each number?

Each number has a 50% chance, a 1 in 2 chance, on every spin.

Is this the same as flipping a coin?

The odds are the same. The wheel just gives you a result you can watch, and you can switch it to more numbers.

Can I use it to choose between two options?

Yes. Tell everyone what 1 and 2 stand for first, or type the two options in as the entries.

Is the result predictable?

No. Where the wheel stops depends on how hard it is launched and the friction in the pegs, and both segments are the same size.
