Spin to pick a number

This number wheel picks a random whole number for you. It starts at 1 to 10. Tap a button for 1 to 3, 1 to 6, 1 to 10 or 1 to 20, or use the segment count to build any range up to 40 numbers.

Each number has the same chance on every spin, and a spin never depends on the one before it. If you want each number once, turn on "Retire winners".

Want a ready-made wheel for a common range? Pick a number between 1 and 2, between 1 and 3, or between 1 and 6 below.

How to use it

  1. Choose the range

Tap a quick set, or change the segment count. The numbers fill in automatically.

  2. Hold, then release

Hold the brass button and let go to launch the wheel.

  3. Read your number

The winning number fills the screen. Spin again for another.

Questions

Is every number equally likely?

Yes. All the segments are the same size, so each number has a 1 in N chance on a wheel with N numbers.

Can I pick a number from 1 to 100?

A wheel holds up to 40 segments before the numbers get too small to read. For a bigger range, use two spins: one for the tens and one for the ones.

Can I stop a number repeating?

Turn on "Retire winners" and each number is removed once it has been picked.

Can I use it instead of dice?

Yes. Set 1 to 6 for a die, or use the 1 to 6 page.
