Spin for a random animal

This random animal wheel starts with sixteen animals from all over the world, from a penguin to a kangaroo. Spin it for a drawing prompt, a round of charades, an animal of the day in class, a character for a story or just to settle which animal gets picked.

Want something more specific? The buttons swap in a full wheel of wild animals, farm animals and pets, ocean life or birds, twelve of each. You can also edit any entry, so the wheel can hold the exact animals your game needs.

Turn on "Retire winners" if you want every animal to come up once. Each pick is removed from the wheel as it is chosen.

How to use it

  1. Pick a set

Use the default mix, or tap Wild, Farm and pets, Ocean or Birds to change the wheel.

  2. Hold, then release

Hold the brass button and let go to launch the wheel.

  3. Meet your animal

The winner fills the screen. Spin again for another, or remove it to keep the next spin fresh.

Questions

How many animals are on the wheel?

The default wheel has 16. Each of the four themed sets has 12, and you can have up to 40 on one wheel.

Can I add my own animals?

Yes. Raise the segment count and type any animal into the new fields, or edit the ones already there.

Is this good for kids?

Yes. It is simple enough to use alone and works well on a classroom screen for games, drawing and storytelling.

Will an animal come up twice in a row?

It can, because each spin is independent. Turn on "Retire winners" to remove each animal once it has been picked.

Is the result random?

Yes. The wheel is a simulated physical object with equal segments, so every animal has the same chance.
